Join Teaching Artist Mei Ge to learn how to mend fabric with this simple and beautiful Japanese technique, Sashiko stitching! Feel free to bring your own worn clothing or items that have holes or rips, and we can give them a second life.

This event is FREE and open to all ages. People of all skill levels in art are welcome. Registration is not required.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Mei is a weaver and woodworker from Gig Harbor, Washington. At the core of her artistic practice, she is interested in folklore and family history. She came to Los Angeles to receive a BA in Studio Art at Pomona College. Since graduating, she has been working as an artist, educator, and baker.
