Looking for an enriching and creative after school activity for your kid? Grab a hammer and a saw, and build a wooden project from scratch! 

Join us for a FREE six-week woodworking series, in partnership with the Altadena Library and held at its temporary location at Loma Alta Park.

Open to ages 5 - 15, students will learn the basics of woodworking, using only hand tools. They will choose from a variety of project templates— including cars, animals, planes, and more—  and build while learning woodworking techniques such as sanding, sawing, shaping, drilling, setting screws, using clamps, hammering, and incising.

Students will leave with handcrafted wooden toys along with new skills, and confidence! 

Maximum 15 students per class. Students younger than 5 will not be permitted to participate. Register now to secure your spot. Please note this program occurs every Wednesday and it is important your child attends every class (particularly the first one). There are two time slots to choose from. Be mindful of what time slot you register for.

Location: Loma Alta Park, 3330 N Lincoln Ave, Altadena, CA 91001 

Dates: Wednesdays, September 9, 16, 23, 30 & October 7, 14 

Class #1: 3:30-4:30pm

Class #2: 4:45-5:45pm
