Eaton Fire Collaborative’s Arts and Culture Committee Presents: Exhibition Celebrating DENA’s Culture of Black Excellence Closing Reception
Altadena, CA — March 28th, 2026 — The Eaton Fire Collaborative’s Arts and Culture Committee is proud to culminate a special Black History Month exhibition honoring DENA’s enduring culture of Black Excellence. The exhibition closing reception will open to the public on Saturday, March 28th, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Eaton Fire Collaborative headquarters, 540 W. Woodbury Road, Altadena, CA 91001.
This reception will include remarks from the featured artists of the DENA community whose lives and creative practices were directly impacted by the Eaton Fire, including Keni Arts, Alfred Haymond, Sam Pace, Sunny Mills, Joe Kindred, Mark Steven Greenfield, Kenturah Davis, Liz Crimson, Aldonia R. Bailey, Phillip Risby, Heather Hilliard Bonds, Edgar Arceneaux, Rasheed Ali, Gayle Nicholls-Ali, Hani Shafran, Susan Hardwick, James Glover, John Outterbridge, Chantée Benefield, Jasimen Phillips, Marvin Jackson, Sir Bailey, and LaDonn Williams.
Through visual art, storytelling, and shared cultural expression, the exhibit highlights resilience, legacy, and the vital role of Black artistry in our collective healing and recovery. The event is free and open to the public. We warmly invite all community members to attend in recognition of Black History, creativity, and community strength.
