Get Your WEBSITE Together

This class is very goal oriented and is tailored for VISUAL ARTISTS whose goal is to make a site in support of their art practice. Performing artists can participate, though certain aspects of the planning process might not apply to you. If you are not an artist, you can not take this class.

The class will be VERY FRUSTRATING for those who cannot answer "yes" to all of the following:

1. You are VERY comfortable using a computer and can do the following with minimal effort:
   - use a mouse and/or a laptop trackpad
   - select, cut, copy, and paste
   - create & organize folders
   - locate files, move files, duplicate files, & re-name files
   - locate & open programs
   - toggle back & forth between 2 or more programs
   - use "Help" menus on programs
   - troubleshoot & solve problems independently

2. You are familiar with basic Photoshop operations.

3. If you're not a Mac user, you're willing to take a quick "Intro to the Mac" seminar at your local Mac Store or at Side Street HQ prior to the first class.

4. You have access to digital files of your artwork that you want to put on your site, or are prepared to do so on your own time prior to the first day of class.

5. You are able and willing to spend several hours each week outside of class working on your website. You won't have enough time to complete your site during class time alone.

6. You have access to a computer outside of class time, or you're able to come by Side Street HQ & use our computers.

7. You are willing to commit to the full 10 weeks (barring emergencies). If you miss a class, you will find it VERY difficult to catch up.
